Katherine Heigl has revealed that she grew up in a white bubble, and how that influenced the way she cared for her adoptive, multiracial children. In a recent "Firefly Lane", "Grey's Anatomy", and "Grey's Anatomy" actor Katherine Heigl revealed that she didn't care about her complexion until she came across her adopted sister from South Korea. "I asked my sister, Meg whether she'd received the same treatment when she was going out with us parents and a different way when she went out alone without them. Meg replied, "Oh, yes, every times! Heigl told parents: "That was when I discovered how naive I resulted in me feeling." According to the actor, she became angered. But, she was determined to channel this energy into helping the girls she adopted. Heigl has a son who is four years with Josh Kelley, her husband for the past 13 years. They have adopted Nancy Leigh from South Korea aged 12 in 2009, followed by Adalaide whom was eight years old older and was Black as of 2012.
