Julia-roberts
Julia Fiona Roberts' parents are Walter Grady Roberts and Betty Lou Bredemus. Roberts is part of the Robertses' fourth generation that live in the Atlanta area, starting with her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts a farmer. Her father was interested in theatre since a young age. As in school at Emory University in 1952 he acted in productions on campus and elsewhere in Atlanta. He joined the Air Force. While stationed at Biloxi in Mississippi, he appeared in a play that he performed in with Betty Lou Bredemus. Eric Anthony was their first born. The couple got married in 1957. Walter was enrolled in Tulane University, New Orleans Louisiana. In 1957, the couple were discharged from the air force and Walter began his studies at Tulane University. Walter was employed to work for Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio to work on the set of Bum Bum and His Buddies, which aired in Decatur Georgia. Walter and Betty Lou began producing a children's television program in the city of Decatur, Georgia titled Bum Bum and His Buddies. The production was funded by the couple by themselves. In the following year, they established the Actors and Writers Workshop which operated for six years. They welcomed in 1965 two children to the family: Lelisa Billingsley and Julia Billingsley.
