Jessie James' first album entitled Jessie James and released in August 2009 was her self-titled debut. Jessie James, which featured Wanted as a hit single in the Top 40 Singles Charts was somewhat successful. Decker was always considered an "country" artist but this album is produced and marketed for a pop audience. Her music came under increased attention after the launch of two singles. The second single, Boys in the Summer featured a rural feel. Decker released her second album under two names: Sweet American Dreams or Daughter of a Gypsy. Mercury put it on hold following the initial three singles failed to make it onto the charts for country music. Decker then was let be released from her contract.
